Selena and the Strange Tower

~A Prototype N Side Adventure~

Note:  While the game is unfinished in spots, it is basically completely beatable from start to end without issue. Some content may look unpolished or unfinished (such as equip descriptions). The final dungeon is mostly missing but will still allow you to go to the boss fight as normal.

This game was made for the Trans Joy Jam 2025 and is therefore a free game!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: A hotfix for the game has been just released. Due to a conflict in a script, v0.9a save files will not work on v0.9b. 

Story

One day, a tower in the middle of Turquoise Island suddenly showed up. Nadine, the island's robot hero, rushes to investigate it herself but never returned. A week later, Selena Rivera, who is a human friend of Nadine, decides to find her by exploring the tower. What awaits Selena? And will she find Nadine?

Gameplay

Unlike the other Prototype N games, this one is a turn-based RPG. You explore each floor of the tower, uncovering secrets and finding your way to the next floor. Every 5 floors will have you face a fearsome boss! So watch your step!

Characters

 Selena Rivera

Age: 22

She/Her

Our local trans girl and mechanic. She is very skilled at repairing machines and building her own. She enters the tower with her trusty laser gun. She is your starter character and has a bit of a near well rounded stats.

Clara Rivera

Age: 26

She/Her

Selena's protective older sister. Noticing Selena had left to find Nadine, she rushes over there herself and aides her younger sis. She focuses on healing and defensive support but can have some decent offensive spells. She has weaker defense and agility makes up for better HP, SP and Special Attack stats.

Jen Bethel

Age: 23

They/Them

A magician who is also looking for someone dear to them. Jen has an emphasis on magic power and offensive support. They have the best SP, Special Attack and Agility stats. Also has the weakest defense as a trade off.

Nadine

Age: 24

She/Her

The local robotic hero of the island. Although she has fought off a mechanical invasion a year ago, she disguises herself as a human in public to avoid trouble. Only Nadine's close friends knows she is a robot. She only shows up in her robot form in this game. She is now missing ever since this mysterious tower has showed up.
